We conduct staff training workshops for service providers working with children and families on ACEs and toxic stress. We also conduct community-based and school-based ACEs awareness and information programs; run ACEs-related webinars, trainings and workshops for parents and educators; and develop and distribute resources and materials.
We work with a variety of community partners who support our mission, and we also engage a Community Advisory Council to ensure that the voices of the community are at the heart of the work we do. The Community Advisory Council prepares members to become ambassadors in the Bayview community. We empower parents and caregivers with knowledge, skills and tools about how to prevent and mitigate the impact of ACEs so that they may in turn educate others while at the same time improving their own parenting skills. The CAC also supports us in our outreach efforts to Bayview residents.
